Pune: Complaint at Chaturshringi Police Station Against Young Man from Dhule for Alleged Defamation of Girl by Circulating Her Morphed Images

Pune: By circulating morphed nude photos of a 25-year-old girl, a young man attempted to molest a woman. In this regard, a victim girl filed a police complaint against the accused, who is a native of Dhule, at Chaturshringi police station on Friday, April 5.

According to the police, the victim girl is acquainted with the accused, Rohit Nayak, alias Titre. The accused was in one-sided love with the girl, and for the same reason, he has been chasing her continuously. In one such incident, the accused callously held the plaintiff’s hand on the road, saying he wanted to talk to her.

Shockingly, when the plaintiff girl refused to talk to him, he purportedly threatened her by not allowing her to marry. After that, the accused opened a fake account with the plaintiff’s name on Instagram and posted nude, fake, morphed images of the girl on the account. He then sent those photos to the girl’s friends on WhatsApp to defame the girl.

Furthermore, the accused also abused the colleagues of the girl where he works. This incident was going on from the year 2021 to April 2, 2024, on social media as well as on the Senapati Bapat Road.

After that, the girl filed a complaint against him at Chaturshringi police station. Accordingly, police booked the accused under IPC 354, 354(d), 506, and the IT Act. Senior Police Inspector Ajay Kulkarni is conducting further investigation into the case.
