Pune: College Girl Kidnapped from Phoenix Mall for Money; Murdered and Buried in Ahmednagar (Video)

Pune: A horrifying incident came to light on Sunday night as it revealed the tragic murder of a college girl who was abducted from Phoenix Mall in the Vimannagar area. The victim, Bhagyashree Suryakant Sude, a 22-year-old engineering student residing in Vimannagar but originally from Latur, fell victim to a plot orchestrated by her friend and accomplices.

Bhagyashree’s father, Suryakant Dyanoba Sude, filed a complaint at Vimannagar police station after her disappearance. The perpetrators behind this heinous crime were identified as Shivam Madhav Phulavale (21), Sagar Ramesh Jadhav (23), and Suresh Shivaji Indore (23), all of whom were subsequently arrested.

The ordeal began on March 30th around 8:30 p.m. when Bhagyashree was abducted after going to Phoenix Mall to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Alarmed by her sudden disappearance, her family attempted to contact her, only to find her phone switched off. Their worst fears were confirmed when, on April 2nd, the kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 9 lakh from Bhagyashree’s father, threatening her life if their demands were not met.

Considering the gravity of the situation, Bhagyashree’s father lodged a complaint, which prompted authorities to initiate a technical analysis of messages sent from Bhagyashree’s phone. During the investigation, they learned that the message came from Mumbai, leading them to investigate in Jogeshwari, Mumbai.

Despite an exhaustive search, the girl and her captors remained elusive. However, through meticulous investigation and analysis of bank records and phone data, the police found out the involvement of Shivam Phulwale, a college friend of Bhagyashree, in it.

Upon interrogation, Shivam confessed to his involvement in the abduction and subsequent murder of Bhagyashree. Along with Sagar Jadhav and Suresh Indore, Shivam kidnapped and murdered Bhagyashree in a car before burying her body in an open space near Kamargaon village on the Pune-Nagar highway, where she was allegedly burned.

Accordingly, before the Tehsildar, District Hospital Ahmednagar Medical Officer, the accused Phulawale showed them the place where he buried Bhagyashree. The police dug out the body, took it into custody, and sent it to Sassoon Hospital for an autopsy.

The motive behind this heinous act appears to be financial desperation. Shivam, facing bankruptcy, saw kidnapping Bhagyashree as a means to alleviate his financial woes. This gruesome revelation has shocked the Vimantal police, prompting further investigation by Police Inspector Crime, Sarjerao Kumbhar.

This operation was conducted under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Pravin Pawar, Additional Commissioner of Police East Regional Division Manoj Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar Magar, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Aarti Bansode by the team of Vimantal Police Station comprising Senior Police Inspector Anandrao Khobare, Police Inspector Crime Sarjerao Kumbhar, Assistant Inspector Vijay Chandan, Police Sub-Inspector Chetan Bhosale, Police Constable Sachin Jadhav, Shailesh Naik, Dadasaheb Barde, Yogesh Thopte, Ankush Jogdande, Rupesh Pisal, Ganesh Ithape, Rakesh Chandekar, Shailesh Naik, Rupesh Todekar, Umesh Dhende, Rihan Pathan, Dnyaneshwar Awari, and Kiran Khude.
