Pune: Chilling Crime in Janwadi, Janata Vasahat: Husband on the Run After Murdering Wife Amidst Infidelity Doubts

 

Pune: Having suspicions about his wife’s character and believing in her extramarital affair rumours, the accused husband from Janwadi, Janata Vasahat strangled his wife on Wednesday and absconded from the house. In this case, the deceased woman’s brother, Rahul Raju Manjalkar, a resident of Pashan, filed a complaint against the accused husband at Chaturshringi Police Station on Thursday.

The deceased woman is identified as Reshma Chander Pantekar, age 30. The plaintiff, Rahul Manjalkar, informed the police that his sister and her husband, Chander Ashok Pantekar, 33, were living near Ganpati temple in the Janwadi Janata Vasahat area.

He complained that Reshma and her husband were constantly fighting over Chander’s suspicions about his wife’s character. Rahul mentioned that Chander was constantly abusing and assaulting his wife, Reshma. He had suspicions about his wife’s extramarital affair.

Due to this, the accused, Chander Pantekar, strangled his wife on Wednesday morning when she was sleeping and then absconded from the house after locking the door from outside. After learning about this, Rahul rushed to the Chaturshringi police station and filed a complaint against Chander Pantekar.

Accordingly, police booked the accused under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and initiated an investigation to search for the accused. The investigation is being led by Crime Police Inspector Ankush Chintaman.

Meanwhile, the police received the autopsy report of deceased Reshma. Reports revealed that Reshma’s death was attributed to strangling.
