Pune boy commits suicide after mother scolded for playing mobile game

Pune – In a shocking incident on the eve of New Year, a 13-year-old boy allegedly committed after being scolded by his mother for continuosly playing games on mobile phone and ignoring his studies.

The deceased has been identified as Darshan Manish Bhutada, a resident of Ganesh Nagar, Dhankawadi.

According to police, Bhutada studied in class 8th. His father works as manager with a private company. On Monday afternoon, Bhutada’s mother had asked him to study. She got busy in house work. After some time, she observed that Bhutada is not studying instead he was playing games on mobile phone. She shouted at him and snantched the phone. Bhutada walk into his room for studying.

When there no was no response from him, his mother entered the room only to find Bhuatada hanging. With the help of neighbors, she got him down and rushed him to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, Sahakarnagaer police has registered a case of accidental death and begun the investigation.
