PSI Shashikant Pawar of Sinhagad Road police station arrested for demanding bribe by ACB
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune ACB Trap | The Pune ACB has registered an FIR against a PSI of Sinhagad Road police station for asking for a bribe of ₹50,000 for getting back a car taken to Karnataka by the replacement driver. PSI Shashikant Narayan Pawar has been arrested by ACB for demanding ₹20,000 after compromise. PSI Pawar had demanded money to bring back a car taken to Karnataka by the replacement driver. The PSI’s arrest has created a flutter in the Pune police department. (Pune ACB Trap)
The arrested PSI is posted at Abhiruchi police chowki under the Sinhagad Road police station.
The complainant’s replacement driver took his Maruti Ertiga car to Karnataka. The complainant had lodged a complaint at the Sinhagad Road police station to get back his car. Shashikant Pawar was handling the complaint. Pawar demanded ₹50,000 for providing help in getting back the complainant’s car.
A complaint was lodged at the ACB office. On January 25, the ACB probed the complaint. As a compromise, Pawar agreed to accept ₹20,000. An FIR has been registered as a bribe was demanded. PSI Shashikant Narayan Pawar has been arrested by the ACB. PSI Vijaymala Pawar is probing the case.
