Pregnant Woman Stopped For Hours For Not Wearing Mask by Police, Child Died Due to Delay in Treatment

Banaskantha : Policemen’s negligence has come to light in Banaskantha, Gujarat. Here, the newborn died due to policemen. According to the victim’s family, the woman had started suffering labor pain at home. After this, the family members were taking her to the hospital. Meanwhile, on the way, two policemen stopped everyone, saying that no one had worn a mask and took everyone to the police station.

Policemen questioned everyone for a long time in the police station. A lot of time the pregnant woman wasted in this. After leaving the police station, the pregnant woman’s health started deteriorating further. She was immediately taken to the hospital. Seeing her deteriorating condition, doctors asked her to take to a big hospital. On the way, her condition worsened.

She was admitted to a big hospital where she had a cesarean operation, but the child could not be saved. After this, the family, saddened by the newborn’s death, reached the police station with his body. All they placed the newborn’s dead body on the table of the police station and started demanding action. According to them, the policemen are responsible for the death of the newborn. Seeing the seriousness of the entire case, the Superintendent of Police has ordered an inquiry into the case.
