Police sub-inspector crushed to death by liquor mafia

Chandrapur NP NEWS 24 online– A police sub-inspector of Chandrapur district police was crushed to death by liquor smugglers on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as PSI Chhatrapati Chide. He was posted with Nagbhid police station.

According to police, there was information about smuggling of liquor. PSI Chide was on patrolling duty near Mausi Chorgaon. His team was chasing a vehicle carrying illegal liquor. The vehicle met with an accident near Gose Khurd canal after hitting a tractor. The police personnel alighted from their van and were going towards the vehicle carrying liquor when the driver tried to take reverse and escape, when PSI Chide was hit and crushed to death. Other cops had jumped out.

He was rushed to a hospital in Bramhapuri where he died.
