Daylight robbery in Marketyard, trader looted off Rs 4.74 lakhs

Pune: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE – In yet another daylight major crime in the city, a trader was robbed of Rs 4.75 lakh cash by bike-borne robbers. The robbery took place around 11.45 am on Tuesday.
The name of the victim is Ahmed Hussain, age64 years. The robbers robbed 4,75,000 cash from him. Two unknown came on shine two-wheeler and robbed Ahmed near Burhani colony, Market Yard.

After getting information about the robbery, officials from the Crime Branch and local Marketyard police station rushed to the spot and have begun the investigation.

According to police, two men on a black motorcycle came to Budhani colony and threatened a trader with the knife and snatched away Rs 4.74 lakh cash from his possession.

More information about the case is awaited.

In the last one month, there has been several robberies as well as firings which show that the police are losing grounds.
