‘Police Force is in Pressure, if Needed, will Demand Central Force’ – Uddhav Thackeray

Mumbai : Maharashtra has been affected the most due to Coronavirus. More than 12 thousand cases of coronavirus have been reported in the state capital, Mumbai. A large number of policemen have also fallen victim to the coronavirus in the state. Talking to reporters on Thursday, the state Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that the police force is under a lot of pressure. If we need more force then we will demand central force so that we can give some rest to the policemen.

He further said that this does not mean that the army has been called, it will be done if it is needed. There is no need for army here. So far everything I did, I have done by informing people. You all should follow discipline and it will be enough. There is no need to call the army here.

Thackeray said that there are about 19 thousand positive cases in the state at present. This is a large number. 3470 patients have also been cured after treatment. On the incident in Aurangabad, Thackeray said, “It was very painful. I appeal to the migrant laborers not to get restless. We are in touch with various states. Keep your patience on for a few more days. Maharashtra government is with you.”
