PMC Encroachment Action | PMC appeals to kin of COVID victims to apply for Rs 50,000 aid
Pune : NpNews24 Online – PMC Encroachment Action | The next of kin of the people who died due to COVID, will get a grant-in-aid of Rs 50,000. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has appealed to the kin of such victims to fill the online form for the same, said Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Vikram Kumar.
However, false documents should not be submitted to avail the aid, warned the PMC. The website mahacovid19relief.in has been made available to next of the kin of the deceased to apply for the grant-in-aid by submitting minimum documents. They have been appealed to apply online on this website. The applications are being scrutinised, said PMC Health Officer Dr Ashish Bharati.
Heir of the COVID victims, who died till March 20, 2022, can apply in the 60 days from March 24, 2022. Kin of the victims, who died after March 20, 2022 can apply in 90 days from March 24.
Jail or penalty for furnishing false documents
Those kin of the COVID victims seeking the Rs 50,000 grant-in-aid, who submit false documents will have to face a jail term up to two years and a penalty under the law.
