Pimpri : Body of kidnapped chit fund operator found from Mahad

Pimpri : The body of Anand Unawane, a 45-year-old chit fund operator missing since February 3, was found from Mahad in Konkan on Saturday. The deceased Anand Sahebrao Unavane is a resident of Morwadi, Pimpri.

According to information, Anand was kidnapped on Thursday (January 4) from his residence. His body was found on Saturday (6 January).

In this case, deceased Anand’s brother Vishnu Unawane had lodged a complaint of missing at the Pimpri police station. After this, the police started searching for Anand. While investigating his mobile  location and call details, police came to know about an unknown dead body.

After seeing the photo and description of the dead body, the police called his relatives at the crime scene. Later relatives confirmed that it was Anand Sahebrao Unavane’s dead body. Police said that the location of Anand’s phone is showing some other location. The police are investigating the matter.
