No procession will be carried for Manache Ganpati, Visararjan will be done in mandal itself

Pune: Coronavirus has forced Manache Ganpati and other Ganpati Mandals in Pune to carry the immersion of the idol of Ganarayana in the pandal  without any procession. This year the committee decided to hold Ganeshotsav simply. Accordingly, this year Mana and major Ganpati Mandals have conducted prana pratishthapana and religious programs in a simple manner.

 

First manache Kasba Ganpati Mandal president Shrikant Shete, second Tambadi Jogeshwari Mandal president Rajabhau Tikar, third Shri Guruji Talim Mandal president Pravin Pardeshi, fourth Shri Tulshibagh Mandal president Vivek Khatavkar, fifth Kesariwada Ganpati’s Anil Sakpal, Sanjay Mate’s, Akhil Mandai’s Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Mandal President Sanjeev Jawle, Puneet Balan along with Nitin Pandit, Prithviraj Pardeshi decided unanimously to perform visarjan without procession.

 

The members of the committee said, ‘the mayor of Pune city Murlidhar Mohol would offer a garland to Shri Kasba Ganapati at 10.30 am and then Ganapati idol would be immersed at 11.30 am. Immersion of Shri Tambadi Jogeshwari Ganpati Murti will take place at 12:25 pm, Ganpati Murti of Shri Guruji Talim Mandal at 1 pm,  Ganpati idol of Shri Guruji Talim Mandal will be immersed at 1 pm, Ganpati idol of Shri Tulsi Bagh Mandal will be immersed at 1:45 pm and Ganesh idol of Kesari Wada will be immersed at 2:30 pm.

 

 It was also informed that the Ganpati idol of Shrimant Bhau Bhausaheb Rangari Mandal will be immersed at 3.15 pm, the Ganesh idol of Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandal will be immersed at sunset and the Ganpati idol of Akhil Mandai Mandal will be immersed at 7 pm.

 

They have also appealed to the Ganesh Mandals in the city to immerse the idols in mandapa and household Ganesha idols at home. This year, Lokmanya Tilak’s centenary year is being celebrated. On the eve of Monday, August 31, the presidents and office bearers of the Mandals will pay homage to the people by performing Aarti at Kesari Wada.
