Nirbhaya Case : SC’s Verdict Today, Trial on Guilty Mukesh’s Plea Completed

New Delhi, npnews24 : The Supreme Court on Tuesday completed the hearing on the petition challenging the President’s order dismissing the mercy petition of Mukesh Kumar Singh, convicted in the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case. The court will give its arrangement on this petition on Wednesday.

Justice R. Bhanumathi, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice A. S. Bopanna bench, after hearing the arguments of Mukesh Kumar Singh on behalf of senior advocate Anjana Prakash and the solicitor general Tushar Mehta on behalf of the Center, said that the decision on this will be announced on Wednesday.

Anjana Prakash, a lawyer for Nirbhaya’s criminal Mukesh Singh, has told the Supreme Court that his client is being sexually harassed in Tihar Jail. She said that Mukesh was forced to have sex with another accused Akshay in the jail.
