New Report Claims Coronavirus Was Developed in US Lab, A Rat Was Also Infected During Testing

New Delhi: When the testing of coronavirus was being done in a lab in Wuhan, China, at the same time, a test of coronavirus was going on in a lab in the US. This was about five years ago. It is now being discussed whether the US has developed the coronavirus in the lab or is it just a coincidence?

In February 2016, an incident occurred at the UNC Chapel Hills High Security Lab in North Carolina, USA, which shocked the whole of America and China. Because possibly American lab and lab based in Wuhan of China were working on this project together.

In the US University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s high-containment lab 3, a rat was infected with the SARS coronavirus made in a lab. But an untoward incident happened in the lab, about which America has not disclosed till date.

According to the ProPublica website, a female lab technician in the lab was doing some work by keeping the coronavirus infected rat in a safety jar, that was when the rat bitten the finger of the lab technician.

Instead of sending the infected female lab technician in quarantine, the lab officials instructed her to lead a normal life for 10 days. She was asked to remain in public. She just had to put on a mask. Her temperature was recorded every day.

After 10 days of investigation, it was revealed that the female lab technician did not fall ill. Therefore, the matter was ignored. Chapel Hills High Security Lab is a very safe laboratory. A big accident was averted at that time.

Mentioning this kind of mess in the security of American lab is very important in today’s date because more than 7.75 lakh people have died due to Coronavirus at this time. Over 2.17 crore people are ill. Richard Ebright, a molecular biologist at Rutgers University, raised questions about the safety of the Chapel Hills Lab in front of the US Congress. It was also said that many such incidents have happened in that lab regarding the coronavirus, which can prove to be dangerous for the future.

In 2007, the US Government Accountability Office issued a warning against viruses and bacteria present in all laboratories at Biosafety Levels 3 and 4. It was said that if an infection spreads through labs unwittingly, then it can be difficult for millions of people.
