Nanded: Girlfriend kills lover after he refuses to marry her

Nanded: In a shocking incident, a girlfriend killed her boyfriend with the help of her friends and brothers in the Ambedkar Nagar area of Nanded city on February 12, after he refused to marry her, the police said. The deceased has been identified as Akash Lokare.

A case of murder has been registered against Rohini Thorat, Prashant Thorat, Satish Hatkar and Sumit Hatkar at Shivajinagar police under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the complaint of the deceased’s mother. The whole murder has been captured in CCTV footage, the police said.

According to the police, Akash is married and he and Rohini had developed an affair after his wife went to her mother’s house. Meanwhile, Rohini asked Akash to leave his wife and marry her. Later, fed up with all of this, Akash stopped talking to Rohini.

Rohini called Akash Lokare out of the house on the night of February 12 and initially tried to burn him alive by pouring petrol on him, the police said. But after he escaped, Akash was stabbed to death with the help of Rohini’s friends. Reportedly, Rohini was raged and angered after Akash refused to marry her and killed him.

However, the security situation in the area has been questioned as there is a police outpost 100 feet from the murder spot and on the other side is the house of district guardian minister Ashok Chavan.
