Monsoon Knocks in Maharashtra, Active in Kolhapur, Sangli, Solapur Including Konkan



Pune : Monsoon has finally arrived in Maharashtra after a long wait. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon has been active in Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, Sangli and Solapur regions of the state. The effect of monsoon is also being seen in Konkan, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada. The monsoon has reached Konkan’s Harne and Solapur.

At the same time, its effect has been seen in Goa and Karnataka as well. The low pressure belt formed in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal activated the monsoon and covered Goa and the Konkan coast. As usual the monsoon reached Kerala on 1 June. However, the monsoon situation deteriorated due to the cyclone. But now, monsoon has returned to its original state and today there is a possibility of rain in different districts of the state.


Signs of Torrential Rain in Mumbai-Thane
According to the Meteorological Department, torrential rains are expected on June 13 and 14 in the suburbs and Palghar, including Mumbai-Thane. Therefore, citizens going out on weekends are being appealed to take special care on weekends.
