MIT World Peace University unveils historic bronze statues

Commemorating the International Peace Day on September 21, MIT World Peace University, Pune and MIT ADT University, Loni Kalbhor are unveiling the historic bronze statues of Maryada Purushottam Prabhu Shri Ram, Saint Mirabai, Samarth Ramdas, Max Plank and Bhagat Narsi Mehta at the Saint Dnyaneshwar World Peace Prayer hall which is housed in the world’s largest dome at the Vishwaraj Baugh campus at Loni Kalbhor.

Pune, a city blessed with the learnings, proximity, and goodness of revered saints like Saint Dnyaneshwar and Saint Tukaram is home to the world’s largest dome superstructure, will also witness history when the statue of Shri Ram being unveiled at the hands of Dr Ramvilas Vedanti, former executive president of the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyaas and Mahant Ramdas, the chief of Hanuman Gadhi from Ayodhya.

The statue of Bhagat Narsi Mehta would be unveiled by Anandiben Patel, former chief minister of Gujarat and the Governor of Madhya Pradesh and Chhatisgarh while the statue of Bhagwan Mahavir will be unveiled by Dr Virendra Hegde, the Main Seer of the Dharmasthala Peeth. Samarth Ramdas’s statue will be unveiled by noted historian Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare and Scholar Dr Shankar Abhyankar.

Renowed music director and singer Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar and noted singer Usha Mangeshkar would unveil the statues of Saint Mirabai and Saint Kabir. Max Plank’s statue will be unveiled by Dr Arun Nigvekar, former President of University Grants Commission.
