Milkman murdered in Aundh

PUNE: NPNEWS24 ONLINE- A 28 year old youth who had gone to deliver milk in Aundh on Tuesday morning, was brutally murdered. Police suspect the incident to be fallout of business rivalry.

The deceased has been identified as Rohit Ashok Junawane, a resident of Kasturba Vasahat, Aundh.

According to police, the incident took place around 6 am in Kasturba Vasahat. Junawane was doing delivery of milk when he was attacked with sharp weapon. Local residents found him in a pool of blood and rushed him to a nearby private hospital. He died during treatment.

A team led by senior police inspector Dayanand Dhome of Chatushrungi police station, Assistant Police Inspector Sandesh Kenjale, Pramod Shirsagar visited the spot and hospital.

Further investigation is going on.
