Metro Power Station’s  work started in Pimpri

PIMPRI: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- For the power supply to the metro project, MahaMetro Rail Corporation Limited will construct the Traction Power Substation on the ground behind Kamal Cross Building.  From Pimpri to Swargate, electricity will be supplied through this power station for the corridor forest. For this, the process of taking possession of the land was started recently by MahaMetro, but the clothes and sweaters vendors did encroachment here. Now, MahaMetro has expressed the desire to rehabilitate these vendors.

On the route of Swargate to Chinchwad Mother Teresa Flyover, work of Metro from Dapodi to Swargate is going fast. A power station will be built here for the power supply, which is required for the operation of Metro on this route. Just like the railway, electricity will be supplied through the over headed wire. There will be a power station in Kothrud for Vanaj to Ramwadi corridor. The third and reserved power station will be built in Ganeshkhind.

In front of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal, behind the Kamal Cross Building, survey number 209 and 210, the ground has been given to MahaMetro. On the lease of 11 crore 42 lakh 50 thousand 298 rupees, this land has been given for 30 years. Power stations will be built on this land by MahaMetro. This station will have a capacity of 25 KV Watt.

Its capacity will be increased if needed.  The tender process for building power stations is in the final stage. In its first phase, a power station will be started for the route of Dapodi to Chinchwad. Once the tender proceedings are completed, the construction of the power station will be started here.

Project Chief of Metro Rich 1 said that a large number of merchants have been encroaching on the empty land behind the Kamal cross building of Pimpri. MahaMetro has started the process of taking possession of this land in order to build the power station, but trouble started from encroachment. The clothes and sweaters’ vendors will be rehabilitated.
