Married man sexually assaults woman by promising to marry her

In this case, a 30-year-old woman from Bhandara district has filed a complaint at the Koregaon Park Police Station. The police have registered a case against Feroze Syed Mujawar alias Abhijit Patil (37) from Dhankawadi under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act.
According to the police, the accused told the complainant that his name was Abhijit Patil. Even though he was married, he took her to different places from January 2020 by falsely promising to marry her and had sexual relations with her against her will. “If you lodge a complaint with the police, I will not marry you. I will kill you and then commit suicide. I file a false complaint in court that you are after me for money,” he told her and threatened her.
He cheated the complainant by issuing such threats. PSI Ingole is investigating.
