Man tries to kill a woman after she refuses his love

Nagpur: One person was arrested for allegedly trying to kill a woman whom he was in love with in New Kamathi on Tuesday (February 16). The arrested man has been identified as Nikhil Prakash Wankhede, resident of Gangapur, Umred.

According to the police, the accused was in one-sided love with the girl but the girl was against it. On Tuesday morning, Nikhil broke into the young woman’s house and shouted “Why don’t you accept my love. What is lacking in me?”. She refused his love. Upon then Nikhil strangled her and tried to kill her. Neighbors informed the New Kamathi Police station about the incident.

Upon receiving the information, a convoy of new Kamathi police reached there. Police admitted the girl to the hospital. The police registered a case against Nikhil and arrested him.
