Low-Quality Medical Goods Being Exported from China, Investigation Made Strict

Beijing : China on Friday said that it has tightened the scrutiny of 11 types of medical devices exported from it, which are very important in the prevention of coronavirus disease. Recently many countries including Italy have made a lot of complaints from China about such defects in such goods.

Many other countries including India are preparing to buy ventilators, masks and personal protective equipment (PPE) from China to deal with the crisis of coronavirus epidemic. In the past few weeks, several countries, including Italy, Netherlands, Philippines, Croatia, Turkey, Spain and Nepal, have made a lot of complaints about such goods imported from China.

China’s customs department said on Friday that 11 types of medical products exported would be rigorously investigated. These items are considered very essential items for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus Disease).

A news report from the Chinese state-run People’s Daily states that quality inspection has been made mandatory before shipment of export consignments of medical masks, cloths, goggles, ventilators and seven other types of goods. According to the report, this order has been implemented with immediate effect.
