Jharkhand : Bureau Chief of PTI Commits Suicide in Ranchi

Ranchi: Big news has come from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. Here a senior journalist has committed suicide. It is being told that the journalist’s body was found at his residence. PTI Bureau Chief PV Ramanujam committed suicide at his residence. The cause of suicide has not been known yet. His office is in his residence and his body is found there. Ramanujam hanged himself in his office at his residence.

Bureau Chief of Press Trust of India (PTI) Ranchi PV Ramanujam committed suicide by hanging himself in his residence cum office on Thursday. The police officer said that PV Ramanujam, who lived in the house-cum-office in Lalpur police station area, committed suicide by hanging himself late at night. On receiving the information on Thursday morning, the police have taken the body and sent it for postmortem. It has been told that his corona test will also be done, after which the body will be handed over to the family.

 

 

The reasons for which the journalist committed suicide is not yet revealed. Police will take statement of the deceased’s wife. The only son of the deceased is coming to Ranchi from Odisha upon receiving information about the incident. PTI journalist PV Ramanujam had been working in Ranchi for nearly two decades and lived with his wife in a government quarter near Raj Bhavan in Ranchi, from which the PTI office in Ranchi was also operated. Everyone who knows him is shocked due to this incident and there is an atmosphere of mourning in the media world.

CM Hemant Soren expressed grief

Chief Minister Hemant Soren has expressed grief over his demise, saying that the passing away of PV Ramanujam is an irreparable loss to the journalism world. His journalism has given guidance and inspiration to many journalists. May his soul rest in peace. My condolences to his family. May God give them the strength to bear this hour of sorrow. ‘

Union Minister Arjun Munda, former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay, State Congress President cum Minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon, State BJP President Deepak Prakash among others have also expressed deep condolences on his death.
