Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  The Indrani Balan Foundation and Indian Army’s joint initiative the Dagger Parivaar School’s Foundation Day was celebrated recently. The school has been set up for special (Divyang) children from the valley.

 

 

Foundation’s Punit Balan and Janhavi Dhariwal Balan were present to cheer the children on the occasion. There are 75 children having various health issues in the school. The first Foundation Day of the school was organised on November 1. The children presented a variety of entertainment programmes to mark the celebrations, which was appreciated by the government officials and guardians present. All the dignitaries present praised the initiative launched by the Indian Army and the Indrani Balan Foundation. School principal Sabia Farooq presented the first annual report of the school.

 

 

Janhavi Dhariwal Balan and Punit Balan admired the progress and work done by the school throughout the year. Teachers were felicitated for taking special efforts for the children and the school.

 

VSS, GOC 19 Infantry Division Major General Ajay Chandpuria interacted with the parents and appreciated the Indian Army’s support to the local citizens.

 

Various government offices, including the office of the Deputy Collector, Baramulla, the Government Medical College, Baramulla and the Education Department, Baramulla extended all possible support to organise the programme. The parents also lauded the efforts taken to arrange the function. The initiative has boosted the confidence of the people in the Indian Army’s resolve to extend all possible help to the local Kashmiri residents.

 

India has a rich tradition of art and music. Kashmir’s contribution to Indian cultural history is huge. We are very much pleased to witness the glimpses of Indian culture through the performances of these children.
