Pune Crime | Hardened Pune criminal detained for a year at Mumbai Central Jail, CP Amitabh Gupta’s action against 76th goon under MPDA Act

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime | The Vishrantwadi police have acted against Akshay Ravi Nagare under the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities (MPDA) Act following the directive of Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta to curb rising crime in the area. This is the 76th action taken by CP Gupta under the Act. He will be lodged in the Mumbai Central Jail for the said period. (Pune Crime)

 

The Pune Police have been taking stringent preventive measures to rein in the criminals, who create law and order issues and to curb crimes. As a part of such measures, Akshay Ravi Nagare (23), a resident of Vishrantwadi, who was spreading terror under the jurisdiction of the Vishrantwadi police station, has been detained for one year under the MPDA Act.

 

Nagare is a history-sheeter. He and his aides have been booked in serious crimes such as possessing sharp weapons including choppers, swords, within the limits of Vimantal and Vishrantwadi police stations; attempting to murder; causing serious injuries, etc. He was booked in four serious crimes in the past five years. CP Amitabh Gupta directed to detain Nagare for one year under the MPDA Act on the basis of a proposal submitted to him and after scrutinizing relevant documents. Senior PI Dattatraya Bhapkar, Senior PI Vaishali Chandgude took the action.
