India to host International Army Games this year

Npnews24 Online aisalmer, Rajasthan: In a major milestone for India’s military diplomacy, the ‘Army Scouts Masters Competition’ will be hosted by India this year.

There will be eight teams participating in the event, namely India, Armenia, Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and Zimbabwe.

The five-stage event is scheduled to be held in August 2019, and team representatives of several countries including Russia, China, etc. are in Jaisalmer at the moment for the coordination conference and recce on the same.

The competition is a part of the fifth International Army Games steered by Russia. India will be participating in it for the first time.

The five stages of the competition include infiltration into enemy areas with BMPs, laying opportunity ambush, clearing obstacle courses, small arms firing, floatation exercise and exfiltration with minimum loss.
