IIT Delhi Director V. Ram Gopal Rao’s express concerns of delay in JEE and NEET Exams

New Delhi: Amidst coronavirus, the debate for conducting JEE Main and NEET UG exam in the Corona era at this time has taken too many colours . After the student and guardian, all political parties have also opened a front against these exams. From Congress President Sonia Gandhi to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, they have opposed conducting entrance and medical entrance examinations in September. These political parties are now unitedly preparing to go to the Supreme Court against this decision of the Central Government .

 

At the same time, in the midst of this tussle, IIT director V. Ram Gopal Rao’s side has come to the fore. The director has expressed concern over further delays in JEE Main and Advanced exams. With this, he has said that if this happens, serious consequences will have to be suffered. The director has written a post on Facebook in this regard.

 

This will become a zero academic year for millions of students, he wrote on Facebook. Our academic calendar is already heavily packed and linked to many other things. Further delays may affect the career of bright students. He further said, ‘we have already lost 6 months due to pandemic. If the exams are held in september then the academic year can be started in december. It would be dangerous to make any alteration in examination pattern or cycle.
