‘No Gulal, No DJ’- Twashta Kasar Ganesh Utsav Mandal

Now a days, Traditional music instruments like Shehnai, Chaughada and Tabla are replaced by DJ (Disc Jockey), which creates noise pollution. From some years craze of DJ is increasing in city and no one wants Dhol and lazims. Minimum use of plastics, no use of POP and No use of Gulal and DJ comes under eco-friendly Ganesh Utsav and  Twashta Kasar Mandal celebrating a festival like this.

From some years, Gulal (Pink colour powder) is being used tremendously by every Ganesh Mandal, specially at last days of this festival (during Visarjan rallies). But its producers started mixing some chemicals into it for selling at large scales. It effects on human body and causes to some skin diseases. So, this Mandal decided to not use Gulal.

The use of large sounds or DJ creates noise pollution. Loud noise causes various problems like mental stress, high blood pressure, complete hearing loss, heart attacks, depression, anxiety, feeling of restless, increase the chances of accidents and other health hazards. Especially senior citizens and children have to suffer more.  Also the use of POP idols, which cause damage to the aquatic life after its immersion in water.
