Haroon Report: Mukesh Ambani earned 90 crore per hour after lockdown

Mukesh Ambani’s wealth has risen by 73% to Rs 6.58 lakh crore from Rs 2.77 lakh crore in the last 12 months as per the IIFL Wealth Haroon India Rich List. The list includes people of India whose wealth as on 31 August 2020 was Rs 1,000 crore or more.

Mukesh Ambani’s wealth rises in Reliance Industries net worth rose to Rs 6,58,400 crore. Thee country’s biggest businessman and head of Reliance Industries, has earned Rs 90 crore every hour since the lockdown. His net worth has increased to Rs 6,58,400 crore. This has been claimed in the IIFL Wealth Haroon India Rich List 2020.

According to the report, in the last 12 months, Mukesh Ambani’s wealth has increased by 73% to 6.58 lakh crore. He not only became the richest person in Asia but he also became the fourth richest person in the world.

The list includes Hinduja brothers living in London at the second place, whose combined wealth is Rs 1,43,700 crore. In the third place is Shiv Nadar of HCL with assets of Rs 1,41,700 crore and Gautam Adani and his family in fourth place with Rs 1,40,200 crore.

According to India Infoline Finance Limited wealth Harun India Rich List 2020, the number of Indians having net worth over Rs 1,000 crore has increased three times to 828 in the last five years. Although this number was 953 in the year 2019 and 831 in 2018. If we look at the billionaires in US dollar terms, then their number has reached 179 this year as compared to 138 of last year.

Anas Rehman Junaid, MD and Chief Researcher, Harun India, said, ‘About 28 % of the wealth in this list is due to Mukesh Ambani alone. From oil to telecom business, Ambani has got tremendous success. Similarly, due to the heads of pharma companies, additional wealth of 21% has been increased. The reason for this is COVID-19, the expenditure on healthcare has increased’

Collectively, this year, there has been an increase of about 20% in wealth compared to last year. The wealth of about 674 traders has increased. Apart from this, 162 new people have joined this list.
