Gujarat: Know why a pigeon found in Surat is troubling police and intelligence agencies

Surat : Police have been troubled after a suspicious pigeon was found in the Kailash Nagar area of Pandesara in Surat. An investigation was launched into whether the pigeon was sent for espionage or whether there was a chip in its body. The pigeon had a WNP pigeon coin around its neck. The police seized the pigeon and investigated and informed the IB.
The pigeon was caught by a child named Harsh Rajendra Shukla, resident of Kailashnagar-3 near Kailashnagar crossroads on Pandesara-Althan road, police said.
Hersh caught a pigeon sitting near his house. The pigeon had a coin inscribed ‘WNP pigeon’, so people gathered around and doubted the pigeon being used for espionage, so they raised awareness and reported the suspected pigeon to the police. Police have started an investigation into the matter. Police have also enlisted the help of ornithologists in the matter.
However, no suspicious item or electronics gazette was found from the pigeon during the investigation. The matter has been reported to the intelligence branch. At present a pigeon is kept with an organization. It may be also the case that someone has a lot of pigeons and a ‘WNP pigeon’ marked coin has been given for identification.
