Gujarat: Ahmed Patel’s burial to be done next to parents grave, Rahul Gandhi to attend funeral

Vadodara : Ahmed Patel, a Rajya Sabha MP and a veteran Congress leader, died at the age of 71 on Wednesday, November 25. He was undergoing treatment for corona for a long time. His burial is at 10 am today in his village Piraman. His body was brought to Vadodara airport on Wednesday and is kept in a cold room at Ankleshwar Sardar Patel Hospital. Relatives will attend the funeral wearing a PPE kit. Rahul Gandhi, Ashok Gehlot, Kamal Nath and other big leaders will also be present to attend Ahmed Patel’s funeral.

Rahul Gandhi will go by road from Surat to Piraman
The death of Ahmed Patel, considered a close ally of the Congress and the Gandhi family, has given a big shock to the party. Rahul Gandhi will also come to Gujarat to bid him a last farewell. Today, Rahul Gandhi will reach Surat airport at 7.30 am. He will reach Piraman by road in about two hours. After attending the funeral of Ahmed Patel, he will leave for Surat Airport by road.

Ahmed Patel’s last wish will be fulfilled
Ahmed Patel’s body reached Vadodara by charter plane from Delhi. It was brought to Ankleshwar by ambulance from Vadodara. His body will be placed in the cold room of Sardar Patel Hospital. After this his mortal body will reach his hometown Piraman. Where Ahmed Patel’s last wish to be buried next to the grave of his parents will be fulfilled.
