Google Update : Trash files stored in Google Drive will be deleted automatically after 30 days

New Delhi: Google Drive is used universally for saving data by most of the users. It not only store personal data but also cover up all the official work. However the Google Drive has made a slight change in its usage. An update us coming soon which the trash files will be saved in the drive for only 30 days, there after it will be automatically erased. The updated version will be incepted from October 13.

The company has shared the information about the new update in Google Drive through its official blog post. It stated, the company is coming with a new update from October 13. After the update, from October 13, the data of the trash files will be saved for only 30 days. Trash files will be automatically deleted after 30 days. Earlier trash files were saved until the user deletes it.

The company has also informed that from 13 October 2020, the retention policy will be seen not only in Google Drive but also in G Suite and Gmail. After this update, users will be able to delete only those files which it wants to delete. Google will use banners associated with the new policy to make its users aware of the changes made.

The similar changes will be made in policy of G Suite and Gmail. The new policy will help users of the G Suite product to ensure that items trashed by users have actually been deleted. Trash data can be restored within 25 days, otherwise it will be automatically deleted after 30 days.
