Google PlayStation removed 6 apps, citing malware detected in Apps

 

Mumbai: The Google Play Store pulled down 6 mobile applications, including Convenient Scanner-2 and Safety Applock as malware was hidden in them. These applications had been downloaded more than 2 lakh times till now.

 

The 6 Apps removed from the Play Store were Convenient Scanner 2, Safety Applock, Push Message-Texting and SMS, Emoji Wallpaper, Separate Doc Scanner, and Fingertip GameBox. These apps have been detected by cyber security

researchers.. Users have been advised to delete all these apps immediately.

 

According to cyber security firm Pradeo, ‘premium services are subscribed to smartphones without clown malware’.

 

Google Play Store has been removed in three years, more than 1,700 apps. Last year,  malware was found in more than 100 apps. Apps with malware are not easy to detect. The researcher of the cyber security firm had caught a new software of Joker Dropper and Premium Dialer Spyware at Google Play Store, which can create errors and start premium services to which users have not subscribed.
