Good News For Corona Patients, Now Telemedicine Will Also Be Covered in Health Insurance

New Delhi : The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India has asked the insurance companies to also cover telemedicine in the medical insurance policy. According to the instructions of IRDAI, the treatment of corona has been included in the health insurance cover, now the inclusion of telemedicine in it will give more relief to the patients.

What is Telemedicine?
Telemedicine means that the doctor can provide his consultation to the patient from home by phone or through WhatsApp or any other online method. This has become even more important in the era of Corona, because now most doctors are willing to serve online or by phone call and also charge for it through Paytm or other way.

IRDAI stated that the telemedicine service should conform to the telemedicine practice guidelines issued on 25 March. This has brought relief to many health insurance policy holders who wish to consult doctors online or by phone call during this corona period to avoid getting in touch with anyone.
