Gang creates chaos in a hotel, vandalises cars in the area in Warje

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | A caused a commotion by forcefully taking money from a customer who had come to a hotel for dinner. The gang also vandalised vehicles in local societies and created terror in the area. The incident took place in and around the hotel in Ganapati Matha in Warje area on Saturday around 11.30 pm. A case has been registered against four persons in this matter. (Pune Crime)

Rohit Jatal, Avi (full name and address unknown) and two other accomplices were booked by the Warje Police under sections 392, 323, 504, 506(2) of the IPC, Maharashtra Police Act and Arm Act. Rajkumar Anand More (39) from Warje lodged a complaint in this regard on Sunday.

According to the police, the complainant had gone to the hotel in Ganpati Matha for dinner. After the meal, while paying the bill to the hotel manager, he was talking with the manager. At that time, Rohit Jatal, who was passing by the table where the complainant was sitting, mistook him for speaking. He called his other three companions. Accused hit the complainant and Avi pulled out a sickle and abused the complainant. Also, he demanded money from the complainant by threatening with the sickle.

When the complainant refused to pay the money, other accomplices of the accused Rohit forcibly took Rs.700 from the pocket of the complainant.

They also threatened the hotel manager, workers and other residents of the hotel by sickle.
On the way from the hotel, the accused vandalized cars parked in the local societies and created terror in the area.

Warje police rushed to the spot as soon as they got to know about the incident. The police are conducting further investigation.
