Man commits suicide due to harassment by his wife and her family; FIR against four including wife in Mundhwa area

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime | A man committed suicide due to mental harassment by his wife and her family members who abused and beat him to buy a flat in Bangalore. A case has been registered at the Mundhwa police station against four persons, including his wife in this matter. The incident took place on December 4. (Pune Crime)

The victim has been identified as Saurabh Jha (31). Saurabh’s mother Shyamal Kishore Jha (59) from Lohegaon has lodged a complaint at the Mundhwa Police Station on Sunday. The police registered a case under sections 306, 34 of IPC against Saurabh’s wife, brother-in-law, brother-in-law’s wife and father-in-law, all from Bihar.

According to the police, the complainant’s son was blackmailed by the accused for money and to buy a flat in Bangalore.

The accused also abused the complainant’s son and beat him. This led to him losing his mental balance. He was fed up with the harassment caused by his wife and her family and committed suicide on December 4. The police had registered a case of accidental death in this case.

Following the complainant, the police have registered a case against four persons.
The police are conducting further investigation.
