Foreigner woman rescued in sex racket at Ramee Grand Hotel had Indian national identity

A shocking revelation has come ahead in police investigation after the social security cell (SSC) of Pune city police Crime Branch has busted an international sex-racket at city-based Ramee Grand Hotel on Monday that the police have recovered national identity document.

On Monday evening the SSC police had laid a trap at Apte Road in Shivajinagar Ramee Grand hotel and police zero down two people and rescued 27-year-old woman who hails from Uzbekistan.

The raid was conducted under supervision of Additional Commissioner of Police Pradeep Deshpande, Deputy Commissioner of Police Shirish Sardeshpande, Assistant Commissioner of Police Bhanupratap Barge and Inspector Manisha Zende will be investigating the case.

According to police, “the prostitution racket was going on at the spa centre at the reputed hotel at Apte road based Ramee Grand hotel. After getting such tip-off from the information about the sex racket, our team raided the hotel around 6 pm on Monday and we rescued the woman. She is 27-year-old woman and hails from Uzbekistan. Our team of officers are investigating the case.”

He added, “During our investigation, it was found that 27-year-old Uzbekistan national woman had come on tourist visa and during our panchanma we found that the woman had Aadhar Card which had New Delhi based address.”

Based on complaint from SSC registered by PI Zende, an First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Rajesh and Suraj Buna (other details not known) with Deccan Gymkhana police station which falls under the jurisdiction of Pune city police. Duo has been arrested under the relevant sections of Indian Penal Code as well as  Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA).
