FIR of rape registered against lawyer for cheating businessmen
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | An FIR of rape has been registered against a lawyer for lcheating businessmen by threatening to implicate them in fake rape cases. The accused have been identified as advocate Vikram Bhate (34), a resident of Hadapsar and Vaibhav Shinde (34).
Ad Vikram Bhate had cheated some businessmen of ₹17 lakh by luring them in a honey trap and threatening to implicate them in a rape case. The Hadapsar police have arrested him in connection with the case. A woman acquaintance of the businessman has lodged a complaint (248/23) at the Lonikand police station. The incident took place at Wagholi from June 2021 to January 25, 2023.
According to the police, the complainant knows Vaibhav Shinde and Vikram Bhate. They came to the complainant’s house. They mixed something in the cold drink and asked her to drink it. Later, both of them had sex with her. They recorded it on the video. The recording was used to loot the businessmen. The complainant was asked to lure a Hadapsar-based businessman in a honey trap but she refused to do so.
Bhate took the help of another girl. When she told the businessman that Bhate and others cheat the businessmen by blackmailing them, he approached the police. The police arrested Bhate. Later, the girl lodged a complaint with the police that she also had been raped. API Godse is probing the case.
