Fine of Rs 5000 on officers if public work not done in time, Orders given by DM

Patna : Dr. Chandrashekhar, the new DM of Patna, appeared in action mode soon after taking charge. He issued a notice to the officials for negligence, saying that it is their first responsibility to get the work of people done in due time. If an officer does not solve the problems of the people quickly, then he will have to pay a fine of five thousand rupees.

On receiving the complaint, five thousand rupees will be deducted from the salary of the officer. DM Chandrashekhar inspected the blocks and zone offices. In which people were upset with the carelessness of the employees. The DM has ordered the District Public Grievance Officer to give a list of pending cases soon.

DM Chandrasekhar said that he will hold a review meeting on this subject on Monday. He will also take initiative to solve people’s problems. Officers who do not work on time will have to pay a fine of Rs 250 or Rs 5000 per day for a period after the prescribed time. The DM said that during the review, we will see how many officers have taken suo motu cognizance of the long pending cases. The District Magistrate inspected the block and zone offices of Naubatpur, Patdhari, Phulwarisharif, Paliganj, Fatuha and Bakhtiyarpur blocks and zonal offices.

In it he found that people are coming to the Block and Zonal offices to get their normal issues solved. But due to the carelessness of the officers and employees, they have to face unnecessary problems.

DM Chandrashekhar directed all the sub-divisional officers and DCLR to take cognizance of the cases which have not been solved in the scheduled time in the block and zone offices.
