Film director rapes 21-yr-old backstage artist in Pune, threatens to make her obscene video viral

The Vishrantwadi police have registered an offence against Amit Premchand Sitlani (40), a resident of Madhuban housing society, Kalas. The 21-year-old woman from Katraj-Kondhwa road lodged a complaint at the Vishrantwadi police station in this regard.
The incident took place between May 2017 and March 26, 2022.
According to the police, the victim works as a backstage junior artist in the film industry. Amit Sitlani works as a casting director. They got to know each other through a common friend. Sitlani took the complainant to a party at a friend’s flat in Tingre Nagar. He raped her there by threatening to defame her. He had made a video of the rape. He used to threaten her that he would make the video viral on social media. He used to call her to various hotels. Thus, he forcefully had sex with her at Eiast Field Hotel, Viman Nagar and Sky Vista Hotel, Kharadi.
He abused her and beat her up. He again raped her on March 26, 2022 at a hotel. She got fed up with this and approached the police. A rape case has been filed. PSI Shubhangi Magdum is investigating.
