20 gas cylinders explode in Katraj, create panic in area
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Gas Cylinder Blast in Pune | An incident of blasts of 20 gas cylinders has been reported from Katraj area in Pune. These blasts are happening near Gandharva Lawns area. There is a huge fire in the area and a video has been circulating on social media. This has created a flutter in the area.
Officials of the fire brigade have rushed to the spot and according to the information available, there has been an explosion of 20 gas cylinders. It is not clear whether the cylinders have been stored in a house or a godown. There are no reports of any casualties or injuries. Fear and panic has been created because a video of the incident has gone viral.
Illegal gas refilling was underway in the area where the blasts have happened. There was a gas leakage which led to the blasts. At least 20 cylinders have exploded. Six vehicles of the fire brigade and the personnel have succeeded in dousing the fire. According to fire brigade officials, a person has received minor injuries in the incident.
