Fight between two gangs for supremacy on New Year eve; seven arrested in Uttam Nagar

Pune :  NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | Two gangs clashed over supremacy in the Uttam Nagar area at the beginning of the New Year. They attacked each other with sickles, stones and tiles. The Uttam Nagar Police have registered a case of attempt to murder against both the gangs and arrested seven people. (Pune Crime News)

Gaurav Ganesh Dhawade (22) from Uttamnagar lodged a complaint in this regard. Accordingly, the police have arrested Karthik Sharma (21), Mangesh Thakur (23), Gunya alias Niraj Hinotia (19), Sohail Syed (22). While their accomplices Prasad Dangat, Laddu Pardeshi, Zapya alias Gaus Pardeshi, Nikhil Kandhare, Kishor Adagale, Dadya Salukhe have been booked for attempt to murder and Mangesh Thakur, Kishore Adagale, Gunya Hinotia are criminals on the Pune Police Record.

The incident took place at Mase Ali in Uttam Nagar on December 31 at 11:30 pm.

According to the police, when the complainant had stopped for urination, Prasad Dangat and Laddu Pardeshi came there. They abused him saying, ‘have you become a great Don?’ Then the other accused also came there. They beat the complainant and threw stones at him. Complainant ran away to his aunt’s home. When he arrived at the public road in front of the laundry shop, the accused tried to kill the complainant by attacking him on the head with a sickle.

After Kartik Prasad Sharma (21) from Uttam Nagar lodged a complaint, the police arrested the criminals, Gaurav Dhavade (22) and Prasad Koli (22) from Uttamnagar.

While the complainant was standing in front of his home, Gaurav Dhavade and Prasad Koli came there. Saying, “Have you become a great Don? What are you staring at? We have come to your area? What will you do?”, they abused and beat him. Saying, “We will kill you today”, Gaurav picked up a tile from the street and hit on the complainant’s head. Prasad hit him on the right eye and injured him. The police have registered a case against both the gangs and the API Rokade is investigating the case.
