Excise inspector booked for demanding bribe in Nanded

Nanded: A case has been registered against an inspector of the State Excise Department at Biloli in Nanded district for soliciting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh. Reportedly, the inspector had asked for the bribe to make the bar-restaurant in the name of the owner permanently.

A case has been registered against Subhash Khanderai at Biloli police station under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (PCA).

According to the information received, Khanderai is an inspector in the Biloli State Excise Department. The complainant was given F.I. L. 03 License no. 90 (beer bar) for application of permanent registration in his name. After verifying the application, he demanded a bribe of Rs 2 lakh to submit the report to the Nanded District Superintendent. The complainant then lodged a complaint with Anti-Corruption Bureau.
