Ex-lover attacks pregnant woman with an arrow, dies but baby survives

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- A strange incident has took place in London in which a pregnant woman was killed after an arrow pierced her abdomen in a crossbow attack.

The baby remained unaffected of the attack although is still battling with life, her mother died after the attack when she was taken to hospital.

The attack took place in llford area of east London on Monday evening. The name of the mother was Devi Unmathallegadoo(35). But her unborn survived after an emergency Caesarean section.  The woman was killed after the arrow pierced her abdomen.

Devi Unmathallegadoo was also known as Sana Muhammad after reportedly she was been converted to Islam religion. She then got married to Imtiaz Muhammad.

Imtiaz, her husband who was at home during the attack already saw the attacker in the shed of their house with a loaded crossbow and immediately rushed into the house to warn his wife and children but by the time he reached, it was too late and the woman was shot in her abdomen.

Imtiaz said, “The arrow went up into her heart but did not touch the unborn baby. The baby was due in four weeks. They operated with the arrow still in because it would have been too dangerous to take out.”

According to sources, “as soon as the neighbours heard Imtiaz screaming, they reached his house a saw a 30-cm-long crossbow being carried out of the home by police.

“The victim was found suffering an abdominal injury. She was taken to hospital where she later died”, such was informed by Metropolitan Police.

According to the suspicion of Scotland Yard officers police the attack was done by the woman’s former partner Ramanodge Unmathallegadoo(50) and has been charged of her murder. It is believed that he is responsible for the murder of his deceased partner and remains in custody till court hearings.
