Diwali gift by government; Hike in prices of CNG, PNG and LPG

Prices of non- subsidized LPG cylinder hiked by Rs. 59

After the hike in prices of Petrol and Diesel, people were about to now opt for an alternative but soon the prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Piped Natural Gas(PNG) and  Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder also increased. The rate of non- subsidized LPG increased by Rs 59 per cylinder in Delhi on October 1, 2018.

Also, the aircraft’s fuel will be sold for Rs 2650 per litre. This rate has been made under the Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF), which means that airlines can increase their ticket rates.

When the festive seasons like Navratri and Diwali are few days away, the Central government has increased pollution free CNG prices by Rs 1.70 per kg in Delhi and Rs 1.95 in Noida. And the prices of non-subsidized LPG cylinder has increased by Rs 59. As well as subsidized cylinders have been increased by Rs 2.89. Therefore, it will be impacting all the citizens of the country this year.

The Indian Rupee is depreciating continuously and increase in crude oil prices at the international market are the main causes for hike in fuel prices.

 

Hike in CNG prices and Achhe Din?

BJP gave the assurance of Achhe din (Good days for citizens) while campaigning for election 2014. The rise in prices of fuel triggered criticism on government from every corner of the country. After the protest by oppositions against this record break fuel price rise, these prices are not coming down.

Because of this unbearable hike in prices of fuel, common citizens have to suffer critical economical condition. The hike in fuel prices creates the record in the country. Even in some cities of Maharashtra like Mumbai and Parbhani, petrol prices already crossed the 90. The rate of non- subsidized LPG also increased by Rs 59 per cylinder. The hike in prices of CNG, LPG, and PNG will lead to a raise in prices of transportation, electricity and fertilizers too.

Petrol and Diesel are the daily needs of every citizen of the country for traveling. Because of this general people have to suffer even more, as they have low-income sources.  So people don’t have any option, they have to buy it anyway.
