Coronavirus : Death Toll in China Crosses 3,000

Beijing : After the death of 30 more people due to deadly corona virus in China, the number of dead has increased to 3,042. In addition, the number of people infected with the virus is 80,552. China’s National Health Commission (NHC) said, it received information on 143 new cases of corona virus and more than 30 deaths in China on Thursday.

NHC reported on Friday that 29 out of 30 deaths occurred in Hubei province while one person died in Henan province. Meanwhile, the Commission said that 102 new suspicious cases have come up, which has increased the number of suspected cases to 482.

As of Thursday, 80,552 people in China have been found infected with the corona virus. Of these, 3,042 people have died. 23,784 patients are under treatment and 53,726 have been discharged after treatment.

The commission said that 16 people from abroad were found infected with the corona virus on Thursday. Of these, 11 people have been found infected with the virus in Gansu Province, four in Beijing and one in Shanghai. The commission said that with this, the number of victims from abroad has increased to 36.
