Coronavirus : Be serious on Social Distancing, Dr. Explains How 1 Patient can Infect 59,000 People

New Delhi : An intensive care doctor has explained that how a corona virus-infested person can infect 59,000 people. Professor of Intensive Care Medicine at University College London Dr Hugh Montgomery has said that the corona virus is a highly infectious virus.

According to the report of the Daily Mail, while talking to Channel 4, Dr Hugh explained in detail how an infected person can infect to thousands of people. He also appealed people to implement social distancing.

Dr Hugh said that on average they infect 1.3 to 1.4 people if they have the common flu. During the flu, the next infected person also infects other people and if the infection cycle continues 10 times, there will be a total of 14 infection cases.

Dr Hugh compared the coronavirus to the flu and warned about its danger. He said that the corona virus spreads from an individual to about 3 humans on an average.

Hugh said that corona virus infection can occur from one to three and if it progresses in 10 layers, then there is a risk of infecting 59,000 people. For example, 1 to 3, 3 to 9, 9 to 27, 27 to 81, 81 to 243, 243 to 729, 729 to 2187, 2187 to 6561, 6561 to 19683, 19683 to 59,049 people.
