The department said that 14,46,386 people have been investigated so far in the state. With the arrival of 1498 new cases of coronavirus in Mumbai, the number of infected people increased to 97,751. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that the death toll in the metropolis has increased to 5520 with the death of 56 more patients. The city currently has 23,694 patients. The recovery rate in Maharashtra is 55.63 percent and the death rate is 3.94 percent. 1584 new cases were registered in Pune. The city of Thane and Kalyan Dombivali in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) have the highest number of infections.
