China Leads in Race of Making Corona Vaccine With 2 in Final Stage

New Delhi : China, which is believed to be the father of Coronavirus, is at the forefront of making the vaccine of the COVID-19. Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac Biotech became the second company in China and the third in the world to complete the final stage of trials by the end of this month.

While work is going on at a slow pace with the Coronavirus vaccine all over the world, China has pushed its army, government and private companies to make medicines.

At present, more than 1.15 crore people are infected due to Coronavirus. At the same time, more than 5 lakh people have died worldwide. In a big country like America, with private companies, they want to win the vaccine race, but China is giving a big challenge.

Due to the rapid spread of Coronavirus, vaccine trials are not being conducted on a large scale anywhere in the world. China wants to improve its image in the world by making a vaccine. It is also to be said that its vaccine is safe and effective.

The two vaccines that the military and government are testing in China will first be tested on military people. The Medical Research Unit of the People’s Liberation Army is leading this entire project.

The Chinese military’s medical research unit is working on a vaccine for COVID-19 in association with private drug company, Cancino. Human trials of 19 vaccines are currently being done all over the world. 8 of which are with China only.

Together these Chinese military, private drug companies, Cancino and Cyanovac are making these eight drugs and are at the forefront of the corona vaccine race in the world. The Chinese government had asked the Sinopharm drug company and Cyanovac to put together Phase-1 and Phase-2 trials to increase the pace of vaccine production.

“It’s a tried and true strategy,” said Paul Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, about inactivated vaccine technology.”

If I had to pick a vaccine that I think would be the most likely to be safe and effective, it would be that one,” he said.

Chen Wei, the head of the Chinese Army’s Medical Research Unit and the scientist who developed the vaccine in China, himself took the first shot of the vaccine for the Coronavirus. Chen Wei’s team had also created the vaccine for SARS many years ago.
