Chain snatchers target retired judge on morning walk in KP

A retired judge who was on his daily morning walk was robbed of gold chain worth Rs 40,000 in Koregaon Park on Sunday morning. The incident took place in Lane no. B around 8.45 am. His servant Jadhav has lodged a complaint with Pune city police in this regard.

According to the information given by police, the retired judge went for the morning walk on Sunday morning. He was returning home via Lane no. B off North Main Road when two motorcycle borne chain snatchers came from behind and snatched away his gold chain. Koregaon Park police officials are further investigating the case.

Last month police had busted a gang of chain snatchers following there has been almost nil cases of chain snatching. Earlier it has become a big menace for police and people especially women and elderly citizens who were the main targets.

Police said that gold provides easy money hence accused target gold chains.
